Welcome to this week’s SPARK

Spotlight, Positivity, Action, Reflection, and Knowledge

WEEKLY SPARK

Action:  Register now!

Only one week remains before the Spring Board of Directors Meeting & Conference registration price increases—and our $130 room block is almost full. We will not be able to add more rooms at that rate.

Check with your club president to see if there are available funds in your club’s budget to help cover registration. Many clubs budget for events like this—and if yours doesn’t yet, now is the time to start that conversation.

Education is our foundation. These in-person meetings provide meaningful training, connection, and momentum for every member. Be in the room.

PRO TIPDon’t skip the underlined text! Each link opens the door to valuable resources, connections across our Federation, and simple next steps to help you take action.

Ready for Redding?!

March 20–21 | Redding

2026 CFRW Spring Board of Directors Meeting & Conference is almost here! Join us at Win-River Resort & Casino for leadership workshops, federation business (including the election of our 3rd Vice President), inspiring speakers, and meaningful connection with leaders from across the state.

Registration rates increase soon—and our $130 hotel room block is nearly full.

Make your plans now and ensure your club is represented. We are stronger together.

Mary Ervin
CFRW 1st Vice President, Programs

P.S. – For anyone thinking about the logistics of getting to Redding, they have a nice airport there, so consider flying into Redding rather than a long drive!

Build Membership Momentum

For the next 4 weeks, you will see practical tips and actions we are asking you to take to help us reach our membership goals.  Even if you have tried these ideas before, we ask you to do them once again and track your results.

Membership Goal: 100% of 2025 membership renewals by March 1

Every conversation, invitation, and follow-up moves us closer to 100%.

Week 2: Invite One Back: One Invitation Can Make the Difference

Membership growth often starts with a simple, personal invitation. Is there someone that you haven’t seen at a club meeting in a few months?  Reaching out to a former or inactive member reminds them they are still welcome, still valued, and still part of the CFRW community.

This week’s focus:

  • Every member should invite one former or inactive member to renew—someone they already know and have a relationship with.

  • Encourage personal invitations. A phone call, text, or coffee invitation is far more effective than a general announcement.

  • Connect the invitation to something specific, such as an upcoming meeting, speaker, or social event.

  • Empower club leaders to lead by example by making their own invitations first.

  • Track invitations made so follow-up and encouragement can happen naturally.

Why this matters:
People are more likely to rejoin when they are personally invited back and reminded that their presence matters and that they were missed. One sincere invitation can reopen the door to engagement.

Bonus Membership Idea:
Looking for a simple way to keep your membership momentum going? Consider hosting a State of the Union viewing gathering on Tuesday, February 24 at 6:00 p.m. PT. It’s an easy, timely opportunity to invite prospective members, create meaningful conversation, and keep engagement strong between regular meetings.

Small events like this build big connection — and connection builds membership.

Program Ideas for Vice Presidents:
Looking for strong Republican speakers for your next meeting?  (Yes, they need to be registered Republicans!) Start locally — city councilmembers, county supervisors, school board members, and central committee members often welcome the opportunity to connect with clubs. Don’t overlook rising leaders, campaign managers, policy advocates, or staff from elected officials’ offices — they’re often dynamic and relatable.

We encourage all 1st Vice Presidents to attend the monthly meeting with your Region Director to connect with neighboring clubs and exchange speaker ideas. We should be sharing this kind of information within and across our regions — it makes every club stronger.

Pro Tip: Ask your Region Director to start a shared Google Sheet where clubs can list speakers they’ve hosted, contact information, topics covered, and member feedback. One good program can benefit an entire region.

Strong programs drive attendance. Fresh voices bring guests. Collaboration multiplies impact.

We are gathering insight from clubs across the state to help

inform future planning.
