PRESIDENT'S WEEKLY SPARK
Positivity: A Season of Strength and Growth
There is so much to feel hopeful about right now. Across our state and throughout our country, we are seeing renewed energy, fresh ideas, and people stepping forward with a willingness to lead and serve. Even in the midst of challenges, there is strength in our communities, resilience in our efforts, and a shared commitment to building something better. Progress doesn’t always make headlines, but it’s happening every day—in conversations, in local action, and in the courage to stay engaged. When we choose to focus on what is working and where we are gaining ground, we create momentum that carries others forward with us.
This week, I challenge you to take a moment to identify something positive your club is doing—big or small—and share it on your social media. Tag CFRW (@CFRW) and use #CFRWImpact so we can celebrate it with you and shine a spotlight on the incredible work happening across our federation.
PRO TIP: Don’t skip the underlined text! Each link opens the door to valuable resources, connections across our Federation, and simple next steps to help you take action.
SPARK in Practice: Celebrate small wins — progress happens step by step.
Kicking Off Our Distinguished Speaker Series
We are excited to kick off our Distinguished Speaker Series with our very first featured guest of the year, Assemblymember David Tangipa.
Representing California’s Central Valley, Assemblymember Tangipa has quickly become a strong and respected voice on issues impacting our communities, bringing both real-world experience and a deep commitment to conservative principles.
I invite all of our members to join us on April 21, 2026, from 6:00–7:00 PM on Zoom for this special opportunity to hear from him directly, gain insight into the current legislative landscape, and engage in meaningful conversation. This series is just one of the many benefits of being a member of CFRW, and it’s a great way to stay informed, connected, and inspired.
We hope you’ll take advantage of this opportunity and register to join us for what promises to be an engaging and informative evening.
There will be a Q&A session, so if there are questions you have for Assemblyman Tangipa, please send them ahead of time to CFRW 3rd Vice President, Bibi Mesmer.
At our Spring Conference in Redding, we had the opportunity to share a powerful video from Young America’s Foundation ahead of a presentation by our Scholarship Chair, Jennifer Hawks. For several years, CFRW has encouraged our clubs and members to support YAF by contributing funds that help send high school students to their summer camps and programs—an investment in developing the next generation of conservative leaders. We remain committed to this effort because of the important work YAF is doing to educate and empower students across California.
This video is a wonderful resource that can be shared at your club meetings to highlight why this investment matters and how we are helping ensure the next generation of conservative voters and leaders has a place to grow. We encourage continued support—checks should be made out to YAF and sent to our CFRW Treasurer, Lydia Kanno at 561 Fresian Dr., Oakdale, CA 95361. She will record your donation and send it immediately to YAF. We have a dedicated person at YAF that will make sure all donors get a tax-deductible receipt once your check is received. If you have already made a donation to YAF this year or if you choose to make a donation with your credit card or if you have any questions, please be sure to notify Jennifer Hawks so it can be properly recorded.

The work you are doing in your clubs and communities truly matters, and it does not go unnoticed. Thank you for showing up, staying engaged, and continuing to lead with purpose. Together, we are making a difference across California!!
