PRESIDENT'S WEEKLY SPARK
ACTION: Stay Engaged, Stay Ready
Action is where progress begins. As we look ahead to this year’s important primary and midterm elections, every member has a role to play in helping shape the future of our communities, our state, and our nation.
Action doesn’t always have to be grand—it can be as simple as staying informed, showing up, inviting a friend, volunteering, or taking part in opportunities like tomorrow’s Distinguished Speaker Series with Assemblymember David Tangipa. (By the way, it’s not too late to sign up for that, make sure you keep reading!)
Every time you engage with your local club, California Federation of Republican Women, or National Federation of Republican Women, you strengthen the network of women making a difference across California and beyond. Momentum is built one step at a time—so let’s keep moving forward together.
PRO TIP: Don’t skip the underlined text! Each link opens the door to valuable resources, connections across our Federation, and simple next steps to help you take action.
SPARK in Practice: Take two minutes after reading this email to act on one thing — register for an event, visit a link, or share an update with your club.
Happening Tomorrow!
We’re just a day away from launching our CFRW Distinguished Speaker Series, and excitement is building! Members from across California have already signed up to join us for this special virtual event featuring California Assemblymember David Tangipa — and we’d love to see you there too.
Assemblymember Tangipa has quickly become a strong and respected voice for California’s Central Valley and beyond. Known for his practical leadership style, real-world perspective, and commitment to conservative values, he brings insight that every CFRW member can benefit from hearing firsthand.
This series is designed for members statewide — not just those in a particular district — because what happens in Sacramento affects every corner of California. Hearing directly from legislators helps us stay informed, engaged, and united as we work together to make a difference.
Join us Tuesday, April 21, 2026, from 6:00–7:00 PM on Zoom for an evening of timely updates, valuable perspective, and meaningful conversation. You’ll hear directly from Assemblymember Tangipa about the current legislative climate and the issues shaping our state.
If you’ve been meaning to register, now is the time! This is one of the many benefits of your CFRW membership — an opportunity to connect with leaders, stay informed, and be energized for the important work ahead.
We’re looking forward to a dynamic evening and hope you’ll be part of it. Reserve your spot today before registration closes!
There will be a Q&A session, so if there are questions you have for Assemblyman Tangipa, please send them ahead of time to me, your CFRW 3rd Vice President, Bibi Mesmer.
Click on the image below to watch a short video featuring our next Distinguished Speaker. In this powerful clip, California Assemblymember David Tangipa shares how he was denied entry into the AAPI (Asian American and Pacific Islander) Caucus and told he was ‘the wrong kind of Polynesian’ — despite being the first Polynesian ever elected to the California Legislature — exposing the hypocrisy of Sacramento’s diversity rhetoric.
Mark your calendars for our next CFRW Board of Directors Meeting, coming up on Saturday, June 27th, via Zoom. We look forward to bringing leaders from across California together for an important day of connection, updates, and federation business.
Please save the date now and stay tuned for additional details and agenda information in the weeks ahead! Times have not been set, but this will most likely be a half-day program. Stay tuned for details!!
The work you are doing in your clubs and communities truly matters, and it does not go unnoticed. Thank you for showing up, staying engaged, and continuing to lead with purpose. Together, we are making a difference across California!!
