Our Deepest Condolences on the Passing of Congressman Doug LaMalfa

Dear CFRW Members,

On behalf of the California Federation of Republican Women, it is with profound sadness that we share the news of the sudden passing of Congressman Doug LaMalfa, a dedicated public servant who represented California’s 1st District with unwavering commitment for over a decade.

Congressman LaMalfa was a hardworking leader who fought tirelessly to uphold the conservative values of our party, even in the challenging landscape of California politics. His legacy as a principled advocate for rural communities, farmers, and working families will endure as a testament to his grit, authenticity, and deep conviction.

This is a tremendous loss for our state, our party, and especially for his constituents in Northern California, who benefited immensely from his staunch representation.

Our heartfelt prayers and thoughts are with his wife, Jill, their children, and the entire family during this difficult time. We also extend our sympathy to all his dear friends and colleagues who knew him as the God-fearing, hardworking, and dedicated American patriot he truly was.

In this midterm election year, let us honor his memory by resolving to continue the legacy that he and we are all a part of as Republicans—fighting with the same determination and principle to preserve our shared conservative values across California and our nation.

May the memories of his service and character bring comfort in the days ahead.
