From the Desk of Lydia Kanno, CFRW President
Dear Members,
NFRW is extending it’s membership program “Empowering 70K Voices” into 2025. Below is an excerpt from NFRW’s Capitol Connection with ideas on how to grow your Club’s membership.
Please remember Article VII of the NFRW Bylaws, Section 1. Dues. C.Membership expires each year on December 31. Renewing members remain in good standing through the last day of February of the following year. NFRW must receive member dues by March 1 or member is dropped from membership and loses all member privileges.
CFRW Clubs, please make an effort to submit the majority of your renewals and new member applications to CFRW beginning December 15, 2024, and continuing through January and February 5, 2025. Additionally, all CFRW Past Presidents, Club Presidents, CFRW Executive Committee Members, and CFRW Board of Directors should ensure their dues are paid by February 5, 2025.
There are two events coming up in February. The NFRW meeting at the Reagan Library and the CFRW Board of Directors Meeting to Endorse the CAGOP Candidates running for the CAGOP Executive Committee. All attendees to these meetings must have their dues paid by February 5, 2025.

The holidays are upon us, and we have much to celebrate this season. While visions of sugar plums dance in your head, it’s also time to start planning your club’s first membership drive of 2025!

Focus on Early Growth
Front-load your membership efforts in the first half of 2025. Membership numbers as of June 30, 2025, will determine your state’s voting delegate strength for the 2025 Convention in Orlando.
Set a Renewal Deadline
Set a goal for 100% membership renewals for your 2024 members. Appoint a committee to reach out to those who haven’t renewed yet via calls, emails, or texts to ensure everyone stays engaged.
Host One or More Membership Events
Use the momentum from November’s victories to encourage more Republican women to join NFRW. Here are some event ideas to get you started:
1. Inauguration Watch Party – January 20th
Host a fun and celebratory Inauguration Watch Party to recruit new members. Encourage current members to bring guests and invite past members to rejoin.
2. Super Bowl Party – February 9th
Celebrate the Super Bowl with a membership drive. Play Super Bowl Squares, vote on the best commercials or worst referee calls, and offer prizes. Anyone who pays their dues at the event gets entered in a drawing for prizes.
3. Community Service at Membership Events
Add a meaningful community service element to your events. Consider a book drive for children’s homes or organizing food/supply donations for care packages to deployed servicemen and women.
Join NFRW Training
The Membership Committee will host a Zoom membership training in late January to help your club succeed in recruiting efforts. Look for details in the Capital Connection in January.
Thank you!
The Membership Committee thanks you for your dedication to making NFRW the leading grassroots organization for Republican women. We wish you a blessed Christmas, Hanukkah, and a happy New Year. Let’s make 2025 a year of growth and success!
