Hello,
I hope you enjoyed the holiday weekend!
Below is a flyer I created for the three bills AB 495, AB 84, and AB 727 urging people to contact their local senators regarding these critical bills we’ve been advocating against.
The bills passed the Suspense File on Friday and are now headed to the Senate floor. The current agenda shows:
AB 84 – possibly tomorrow (#6 on the file)
AB 495 – #40
AB 727 – #475
Timing may shift depending on how the Senate schedules other bills, so hearings could take place anytime between tomorrow and September 12.
AB 84 and AB 495 had last-minute amendments, so they are scheduled for a second reading. If passed, they will return to the Assembly for a vote, giving us another opportunity to engage.
AB 727 is at its third reading, so if it passes, it will go directly to the Governor’s desk.
I’ll be at the Capitol early tomorrow, before the 2 PM floor hearings, hoping to speak with several senators. I’ll also attend the hearings and keep you updated on any developments.
