Budget’s broken. Services collapsing. State unraveling. Gavin’s building a national brand.
His Majesty the Podcaster–Governor–Substacker has spoken.
While the folks triggered by President Trump marked “No Kings Day,” Gavin Newsom reminded Californians who really acts like one.
This new budget isn’t built to solve problems. It reads like a royal decree: rewards for insiders, rising costs for families, and open defiance of voter priorities.
This isn’t leadership. It’s power without accountability.
Here’s what’s inside Newsom’s latest decree:
Prop. 36: Voters approved it. Newsom tried to kill it.
After our press conference and sustained Republican and public pressure in the Legislature, $100 million was added back into the budget. But the fight isn’t over — Democrats fail to realize that Prop 36 needs $400 million to work properly.
The message is clear: Capitol Democrats don’t care what voters demand— until we force them to.
$12.4 Billion for illegal immigrant healthcare. Most Californians oppose it.
The state is broke.
Hospitals are underfunded. Doctors are leaving. Waitlists are growing for seniors, families, and people with disabilities.
Newsom’s budget includes $12.4 billion this year to expand Medi-Cal coverage to illegal immigrants.
According to the Public Policy Institute of California, 58% of Californians now oppose this expansion. Newsom is pouring billions into a broken system while ignoring the people it was meant to serve.
King Newsom’s High Speed Rail fantasy lives on.
Voters approved high-speed rail in 2008 with the promise of a modern train connecting San Francisco to Los Angeles.
Fifteen years later, there’s no train. No completed route. No end in sight. Newsom’s latest budget throws more taxpayer money at the mess anyway.
The project is billions over budget and more than a decade behind schedule.
What’s left is an irreparable scar through prime farmland in the Central Valley — and a pile of broken promises — while wildfire prevention, public safety, and real infrastructure go unfunded.
Safety gutted. Chaos funded. We’re not letting it stand.
While working families get crushed by high costs and rising crime, Newsom is busy recording podcasts, launching a Substack, chasing headlines , and ignoring the job he was elected to do.
He’s not governing. He’s performing.
This budget proves it: no plan for safety, no answer for affordability, no respect for what matters.
Assembly Republicans are fighting to fix what Newsom won’t:
Full funding for Prop 36
Accountability in Medi-Cal
Infrastructure that actually helps Californians
This isn’t a game. It’s a fight for the basics.
