At USAID, Waste and Abuse Runs Deep

February 3, 2025

For decades, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has been unaccountable to taxpayers as it funnels massive sums of money to the ridiculous — and, in many cases, malicious — pet projects of entrenched bureaucrats, with next-to-no oversight.

Here are only a few examples of the WASTE and ABUSE:

The list literally goes on and on — and it has all been happening for decades.

EXCLUSIVE: White House Lays Out Policy Priorities For New Faith Office

President Donald Trump’s new Faith Office has a list of priorities that it will tackle through policy writing, White House officials with direct knowledge of the initiative told the Daily Caller.

Trump announced his new Faith Office, which will be led by Rev. Paula White-Cain, on Thursday at the National Prayer Breakfast while touting his new plans to create a task force to end the anti-Christian weaponization of government. The president is expected to sign an executive order establishing the Faith Office in the West Wing, where it will report directly to the president and focus on drafting policy on eight top initiatives, White House officials told the Caller.

Working in tandem with the domestic policy center, White-Cain and her team will address poverty alleviation, religious liberty, strengthening marriage and family, advancing education, addressing substance abuse and addiction, crime prevention and reduction, supporting prisoner reentry and expanding health and humanitarian services, according to a White House official.

“People of faith will have a seat at the table to formulate the policies that are going to be going through, and that you’re seeing right now the president doing slowly, but we’ll be rolling all of those out,” a White House official told the Caller.

“We’ll be reporting to him on what the faith community is facing, what they are experiencing. There’s been a lot of discrimination against people of faith and making sure that they have a voice in the government, just like every other American citizen,” the official continued.

Trump’s executive order creating his new Faith Office is expected to “complement” earlier presidential actions, including the creation of a task force aimed at eradicating anti-Christian bias and another that combats anti-semitism, an official explained to the Caller.

“The mission of this task force will be to immediately halt all forms of anti-Christian targeting and discrimination within the federal government, including at the [Justice Department], which was absolutely terrible,” the president said of his plans to create a task force focused on fighting anti-Christian bias.

Newsom signs $50M 'Trump-proofing' legislative package

Gov Gavin Newsom signed the multimillion-dollar 'Trump-proofing' package

Gov. Gavin Newsom signed the $50 million special legislative “Trump-proofing” package which he proposed for Democrats to pass following President Donald Trump’s election.

Newsom said the bill will “bolster funding for legal services programs that are vital to safeguarding the civil rights of California’s most vulnerable residents, including people with disabilities, youth who are homeless, victims of human trafficking and wage theft, people facing unlawful evictions, immigrants and more.

“None of the funding in this bill is intended to be used for immigration-related legal services for noncitizens convicted of serious or violent felonies,” he added in a signing statement.

The package, which was passed by the state Senate and Assembly, allocates $25 million to the California Department of Justice to support legal battles against Trump’s federal policies, including environmental regulations and illegal immigration. An additional $25 million is designated for legal aid groups to assist illegal immigrants facing potential deportation.

Newsom lobbed hundreds of lawsuits against the Trump administration during Trump’s first term.

While Newsom is gearing up for potential showdowns with the Trump administration, he has also been working with Trump to secure federal disaster relief for the Los Angeles wildfires. Trump visited California in late January to meet with Newsom, and Newsom traveled to Washington, D.C., in early February for another round of discussions with the president.

“We’re working across the aisle, as we always have, to ensure survivors have the resources and support they need,” Newsom said in a statement on Wednesday. “Thank you President Trump for coming to our communities to see this first hand, and meeting with me today to continue our joint efforts to support people impacted.”

Trump hit back at Newsom after he announced the special legislative session in November, saying on his Truth Social account, “He is using the term ‘Trump-Proof’ as a way of stopping all of the GREAT things that can be done to ‘Make California Great Again,’ but I just overwhelmingly won the Election.”

We will stand bravely, we will live proudly, we will dream boldly, and nothing will stand in our way because we are Americans. The future is ours, and our golden age has just begun. – President Donald J. Trump, Inaugural Address, January 20, 2025
